Setacolor Opaque – Fabric paint, water-based, is intended for dark or light, thin or thick textiles. This painting is covering, lively, concentrated and intense.
The different Setacolor Opaque paints can be mixed together to obtain a wide range of colours. This paint offers excellent lightfastness and a rich color chart with shimmering, pearlescent and even one with suede effect.
Setacolor Opaque colors can be applied to different types of pre-washed fabrics: cotton, wool, cotton-wool, knit, jersey, velvet, jacquard, polyester, fiber blend and non-wovens. The colors are ready to use and can be used pure or diluted with water to obtain watercolor effects. The rich texture of Setacolor Opaque colors is ideal for multiple textile decorating techniques, such as brush, pipette, stamp, screen print and stencil. Some colors in the range are pearlescent: they contain iridescent pearlescent pearls that offer a radiance with changing reflections, varying from pink, blue, green to gold, always remaining on a pearly base color.
By using Setacolor auxiliaries, it is possible to obtain other effects by multiplying the techniques. To fix the Setacolor colors, iron on the reverse side of the decorated fabric for 5 minutes, in the “cotton” position without steam. The colors are resistant to washing in the washing machine after fixing, but dry cleaning is not recommended. Setacolor Opaque is an emblematic range of Pébéo. It is a quality paint and recognized throughout the world. Give your textiles a modern and covering touch with Setacolor Opaque.
Instructions:
Setacolor Opaque colours can be used on all prewashed fabrics: cotton, wool, mesh, jersey, velvet, jacquard knit, polyester, mixed fibers, and even leather.
They can be used pure or diluted with water to obtain a watercolor effect. Their rich texture is particularly indicated for various textile decorating techniques: with a paint brush, dropper, stamp, silkscreen painting stencil…
When used with Setacolor auxiliaries additional effects can be obtained to multiply the techniques.
For airbrush use, make a first mixture 50% water / 50% Setacolor lightening medium (ref 391014) which will serve as a dilution base. Then, make a second mixture with the chosen colour, 50% Setacolor Opaque paint / 50% of the first mixture for airbrushing.
To fix the Setacolor colours, iron the reverse side of the decorated fabric for 5 minutes on cotton position with no steam. It is also possible to put the fabrics in the kitchen oven. After 5 minutes at 150°C (300°F) the colours are fixed. Once fixed, the colours resist machine washing.
